Corporate Membership

 

Corporate Membership Benefits:
NAPPSI corporate membership is critical to our vital work of advancing protection
for healthcare workers. NAPPSI corporate membership is open to all manufacturers
pharmaceutical companies, distributors, healthcare facilities and agencies, insurance
companies and other payer organizationsinterested in supporting our mission.

Annual Membership Fees:
Corporate membership fees are renewed at the beginning of each calendar year,
however a new corporation may join at any time. Arrangements can be made for a
pro-rated fee for the remaining portion of the calendar year.

We constantly strive to enhance our corporate member benefits and welcome your
suggestions. Corporate membership is available on five different levels with benefits
corresponding to each level.

Diamond ($15,000)

 
  1. Corporate member listing on the NAPPSI website
    1. Company name on the home page with a link to the company’s
      website
    2. On a designated corporate member page with company description,
      corporate logo, and hyperlink to their website; listed by the level of
      membership
  2. Product listings
    1. Unlimited number of primary or secondary prevention products listed
      on the NAPPSI website with product description and picture and link
      to company website
  3. One seat on the NAPPSI Advisory Council (to be formed)*
  4. Technology case study or studies, depending on the available clinical
    research.**
  5. Company may select a product to be featured in the NAPPSI electronic
    newsletter on a rotating basis.
  6. Four sets of mailing labels for NAPPSI individual membership; 25%
    discount on the purchase of additional label sets.

Emerald ($10,000)

 
  1. Corporate member listing on the NAPPSI website
    1. Company name on the home page with a link to the company’s
      website
    2. On a designated corporate member page with company description,
      corporate logo, and hyperlink to their website; listed by the level of
      membership

    1. Up to 10 primary or secondary preventions products listed with
      product description and picture and link to company website
    2. Additional products listed under the appropriate category without
      pictures or linking
  1. One seat on the NAPPSI Advisory Council (to be formed)*
  2. Technology case study on one product, depending on the available clinical
    research**
  3. Company may select a product to be featured in the NAPPSI electronic
    newsletter on a rotating basis.

    provided after the programming work has been done to put the
    membership records behind a password protection); 25% discount on

*NAPPSI Advisory Council

The purpose of the Advisory Council is to

  • Discuss the needs of healthcare workers and making the workplace safer
  • Identify successful processes that have reduced the risk of healthcare
    worker sharps injury
  • Identify avenues of communication about successful techniques and
    technology for sharps injury reduction.

Meetings will initially be held by quarterly conference calls and work toward
an annual meeting in the future as the activities of the council grows

 

**Primary Prevention Case Studies

A case study will be based on clinical evidence of a primary prevention
technology written for inclusion on the

  • NAPPSI website
  • Speaker presentations from the speakers bureau
  • Used at exhibits
  • In the NAPPSI newsletter

Case studies must be based on well-designed clinical research using the
specific product. The hierarchy of evidence rating system1 recommended is:

Level 1 – evidence from a systematic review or meta-analysis of all relevant
randomized controlled trials (RCT), or evidence-based clinical practice
guidelines based on systematic reviews of RCTs

Level 2 – Evidence obtained from at least one well-designed RCT

Level 3 – Evidence obtained from well-designed controlled trials without
randomization

Level 4 – Evidence from well-designed case-control and cohort studies

Level 5 – Evidence from systematic reviews of descriptive and qualitative
studies

Level 6 – Evidence from a single descriptive or qualitative study

Level 7 - Evidence from the opinion of authorities and/or reports of expert
committees
